Processing can feel intense. Being in your own environment can make it easier to stay grounded.

Virtual EMDR can help with:

Trauma / PTSD (single-incident or cumulative)
Anxiety and panic responses
Intrusive memories and nightmares
Phobias and specific fears
Distressing experiences that still feel present
Negative beliefs (e.g., Im not safe, Im not good enough)
First responder stress and critical incident exposure
High-responsibility burnout and nervous system overload

This is structured work not endless talking.

EMDR has a clear protocol. We prep, we target, we process, we integrate. Youll know what were doing and why and youll see changes in triggers, sleep, and how your body responds.

Virtual EMDR: FAQ

Does virtual EMDR work as well as in-person?

For many people, yes. Research supports telehealth EMDR, and a lot of clients prefer doing processing work from their own space. The key is structure, pacing, and using the right tools for bilateral stimulation which I do.

How does bilateral stimulation work online?

We use secure video and a simple, guided method for bilateral stimulation (visual/tactile options depending on what fits you). You dont need special equipment.

What states do you serve for telehealth EMDR?

I currently offer virtual EMDR for clients located in Massachusetts, Vermont, and Pennsylvania (based on licensure).

Do I have to talk about my trauma in detail?

No. EMDR doesnt require a detailed retelling. You stay in control of what you share. The work is about how your brain and body are holding the memory now.

How many sessions will I need?

Many clients notice meaningful change within 8 sessions, though complex trauma can take longer. Well set targets and track progress so you can see whats changing.
